Tokyo: In Pictures

Whilst I only had 24 hours in Japan, I still had pretty much a full day in Tokyo. With some good planning, I was able to see most of what I wanted. Although I did have to give Shinjuku a miss once more. A shame, as I had planned on paying this area a visit on my previous trip to Tokyo in 2016, but illness kept me at my hotel on that location!

I was lucky with the weather. For the time I was in town, it was clear blue skies and a reasonable temperature. Just 24 hours later, it was the complete opposite.

During my time in the city, I was able to visit quite a few areas that I hadn’t seen on previous visits. Ueno, Asakusa and Roppongi. And of course, no visit to the city would be complete without seeing Shibuya. An area that I have paid a visit to on all three visits now, yet still hasn’t gotten boring!

I made my way around the city using a 24 hour subway travel card. Whilst the train system looks complicated, in reality it’s absolutely fine.
