Tomorrow, 1st August will see British Airways re-launch its inflight magazine, High Life. For one month only, the cover will feature a matte blue BOAC cover.
The August edition will have 12 commemorative covers to celebrate the airlines 100th anniversary taking place. The move comes just over a year since the last rebrand to celebrate the magazines 45th anniversary.
Also featured is a move away from the predominantly white cover that has featured for many years, instead replaced with BOAC blue. The titling is featured in an embossed silver and the cover has been upgraded to a matt paper.
It’s estimated that High Life magazine has over 3.5 million readers worldwide with 125,000 copies printed every month. High Life can be found in the seat pocket of every British Airways aircraft and in British Airways lounges worldwide.
Initially launched in April 1973, High Life was one of the first dedicated in-flight magazines. It’s seen to have paved the way for other airlines to follow the format of providing free seat back magazines on board.
I will be flying British Airways this coming weekend, so will make a point of taking a look at the new High Life magazine to see what has changed.
