British Airways to launch London – Antalya flights

British Airways has announced this morning that it will be launching flights between London Gatwick and Antalya.

On sale from today, the route will commence for the summer 2020 season, with flights launching on 30th April.

Commenting on the announcement, Adam Carson, British Airways Gatwick managing director said:

“Holiday makers can look forward to another option when flying to Turkey with British Airways next summer. After months in the planning, we are excited to announce the addition of Antalya to our network from Gatwick.  We are committed to offering flights and holidays to a wide variety of destinations at competitive prices to help people get their travel plans off the ground.”

The flights will operate six times a week and Airbus A320 aircraft will be used.

As a special launch offer, return flights between Gatwick and Antalya can be secured for £139 in Euro Traveller or £387 in Club Europe. Or between now and 29th October a holiday package can be secured for just a £25 deposit.

British Airways will compete on the London Gatwick route with Turkish Airlines.

    London Gatwick to Antalya was a Thomas Cook route – will be interesting to see what other new routes they might announce ahead of any bidding them might do for the TC slots.

      I saw a few days ago that the Monarch slots that BA bought were leased out to Thomas Cook… I guess they have them back now and have to use them or lose them
